Welcome to Islamic Foundation School
|
Welcome
Islamic Foundation School is fully accredited by the North Central Association and is recognized by the Illinois State Board of Education. Since its inception in 1986, Islamic Foundation School has embarked on a mission to provide excellent education in an atmosphere of faith, and to prepare students to be life-long learners and contributing members of society. Eighteen years later, Islamic Foundation is a full-time PK-12 school offering academic programs in addition to religious education. Islamic Foundation School has established a name for itself in the Chicagoland community as a school that offers quality education in an Islamic environment. As a result, Muslim families from a forty square mile radius of Villa Park, who desired the Islamic Foundation experience for their children have contributed to making Islamic Foundation School a school serving about 650 students, one of the largest Islamic schools in North America. The school is located approximately 25 miles west of downtown Chicago in the residential suburban community in Villa Park.

Welcome to Islamic Foundation School
The Islamic Foundation embraced the concept of Islamic school many years ago, providing the community children with an alternative the public and non-Islamic private school education. Environment and academic excellence has been a mainstay for the school, to provide the best education for the new generation of Muslim children. Islamic Foundation School strives to provide our children with an Islamic environment where they can be comfortable and learn the meaning of being a good Muslim. Role models among parent volunteers, staff, teachers, and administration help foster this important environment throughout the school day. Character values are an important part of the curriculum, and are targeted through many different avenues throughout the school day. Academic achievement is not compromised in this environment, but encouraged and expected. Islamic Foundation School knows the importance of exposing children to the required academic content expected by the most competitive schools. The school must be competitive, in order for our students to be competitive in the larger world community. Accreditation by the state of Illinois and the North Central Association provides checks and balances for our continued academic and content standards’ growth. Committed, well trained and educated staff, teachers, and administration make Islamic Foundation School a great place to be. The school prides itself on the caring and family-like environment; and staff, teachers, and administration work hard to provide an atmosphere that encourages community values. For more specific information feel free to call the school office: 630-941-8800. Audrey Zahra Williams, Principal
