Adem Shuaipaj, IFS Senior, Receives Anti-Defamation League Award
IFS Senior Wins First Amendment Student Essay Contest
Adem Shuaipaj, IFS Senior, won first place in the First Amendment Student Essay Contest sponsored by the Anti-Defamation League, Greenberg Traurig and the Chicago Tribune. There were over 1,400 entries on the theme "Describe/Depict how you use one or more of the five freedoms in the First Amendment in your everyday life."
Adem will be awarded his prize ($1,000) at a ceremony on September 16, 2009, at the Chicago Hilton. Adem's award winning essay will be published on both the ADL(Anti-Defamation League) and Chicago Tribune websites.
