2nd Annual IFS Share-an-Iftar Program

IFS Sponsored Refugee Iftar
Students for Social Justice is currently recruiting sponsors for our 2nd Annual Share-an-Iftar with a Refugee Family, taking place on Monday, September 7.
There are about 55 refugee families living in the vicinity of IFS. During this blessed month, we're looking for individual families to cook "a little extra" food for their meals for the evening of Monday, September 7. The extra food will go to one refugee family - so it'll be like you're sharing a meal - from one family to another. To sponsor an Iftar, you will need to:
Sign up to be a sponsor by Friday, September 4 (but earlier is better). Contact the office for the sign-up sheet.
*Cook enough for 4 adults and 4 children
*Use disposable containers (as they will be left with the families)
*Label each container with your last name.
*Drop off iftar meal between 4:00 and 4:45 pm on Monday, Sept. 7, 2009, in the IFS Cafeteria. We will not be able to deliver meals dropped off after 4:45 p.m.
Cook dishes that are specified in the following menu:
meat or chicken dish (zabiha/halal)
salad dish
rice or pasta dish
dessert
beverage
